An “Anchor Point” is a secure point of attachment that safely and firmly connects a person or object to a place that prevents them from falling.
This InterGenerational equipping seminar is designed to equip and resource the entire church leadership and volunteer team with the essentials for establishing or reestablishing a transformational InterGenerational culture. A vital and dynamic characteristic of that culture is that it helps individuals establish Anchor Points in their faith.
One essential purpose of this seminar is to help church leadership and volunteer teams develop a common language to communicate and clarify the foundational elements of purpose, vision, and mission.
What is the need for Anchor Points Seminar?
- Many reports indicate that 85% of churches in America have reached a plateau or are declining.
- 9 out of 10 church families will see their children leave the church.
- Most of those attending youth ministries have already decided that after high school, they do not need church.
- As many as 90% of pastors admit they are discouraged.
- The church is losing its “seniors” at the fastest rate ever.
- The number of men in church has not increased since 1991.
- The family is under attack.
- We are no longer in a “post-Christian” society but clearly in an “anti-Christian” battle.

- The Incredible Significance of “Anchor Points” in every Person’s life.
Establishing “Anchor Points” in every person’s spiritual life is crucial. These anchor points securely help us hold onto and trust our faith.
- What does Success look like?
It has been said that if we do not know where we are going, any road looks good and will get us there. There is a very significant difference between Cross-, Multi-, and InterGenerational culture and the ministries that will take us where we say we want to go.
- Disciple Making Requires a Strategy … Not Just Another Program
A Strategy to make disciples must be based on a clear understanding of what a “disciple ” is. Disciples must be reproduced, not produced.
Working lunch with Assignments
Lunch assignments include Processing of morning concepts.
- Establishing “Spiritual Continuity”
Why do most churches lack Spiritual Continuity, leading to stagnation and often losing fellowship? Spiritual maturity must be clearly defined. Continuity must recognize and celebrate the significant “Rites of Passage” in every person’s life.
- Understanding the Power of “Oikos”
Oikos is a Greek word that refers to the 8 to 15 people in your immediate sphere of influence. When we are called to reach the world, we should understand that for most individuals, that world is their “Oikos.”
- Leading Strategic Change
Call it coaching, mentoring, or any other relational title you prefer, but every generation lives healthier when connected to other generations. Younger generations are begging for older men and women who will invest in and believe in them. We have the tools that are needed.
- “Seeing the Elephant”
