Never (JUST) Babysit Your Grandkids is a Dynamic and Fun-Filled One-Day Equipping Seminar for Grandparents, Soon-to-be Grandparents, and even parents who want to help their parents engage better to have the most significant impact on their Grandchildren.
What is the need for a Grandparenting Seminar?
Several research studies estimate that the grandparent/grandchild relationship is so significant that it is second only to the parents in terms of the emotional importance to a child. Currently, approximately 1/3 of the adult population in the US is grandparents.
Nearly 90% of adult grandchildren credit their grandparents with having an enormous impact on their values and behavior.
We live in a culture with a growing number of single parents and homes where both parents work full-time. Grandparents’ influence on grandchildren’s lives is becoming more significant than in prior generations.

Topics Include:
- Grandparenting – A Gift
God has no Grandchildren – HE entrusts that responsibility only to earthly Grandparents! Grandparenting should be considered a “Gift From God” because HE Trusts us with HIS Children.
- Grandparenting – Making Every Moment Matter
Every moment in a Grandchild’s life has the potential to be a “Teachable Moment.” They are like little sponges soaking up everything you say or do. We must reach out and grab these opportunities.
- Grandparents – A GrandChild’s Best Friend
We must learn to “just do life” with our Grandchildren. They want to hear the stories of their family and have a safe place to invoke and let them ask their “God Questions.” Several studies indicate that children need 4 to 6 involved, caring adults to develop emotionally, socially, and with confidence to grow strong in their faith.
- Overcoming Hurts – Yours and Theirs
Sadly, hurts often result from misunderstandings or unmet expectations. As Grandparents, it is frequently up to us to recognize the dynamics and help bring reconciliation and restoration for the benefit of our entire family.
- Long-Distance Grandparenting
Being separated from our Grandchildren by time and distance does not prevent us from impacting their lives and developing a close bond with them. We must learn to capture every moment even when we are not physically present with them.
- Old Dogs and New Tricks – We Can Still Learn
We have technology that was never available to previous generations, and we are smart enough to learn and take full advantage of new opportunities if we are willing to learn. In the world we live in today, there are many opportunities to fill the void in the lives of young kids whose grandparents are no longer living or are not physically able to fulfill the grandparenting needs of their grandchildren.
- Spiritual Grandparenting
In today’s world, there are many opportunities to fill the void in the lives of young kids whose grandparents are no longer living or are not physically able to fulfill their grandchildren’s grandparenting needs.
- Becoming the “Culture Keepers of our families
“Be the Culture Keeper in your home. Tell inspiring stories. Recount heroic episodes from the past. Fill your home with a culture and spirit of valor and of hope and of eagerness to do good in the world. You can change everything this way.” Stephen Mansfield (April 4, 2020)
Grandparents can often be the most significant culture keepers of the spiritual culture of the family,
- Grandparenting – For Generations Yet to Be Born
We must ask ourselves if we are living our years for “our legend or HIS Legacy.” This may be the most crucial decision you make in the years God gives you to make an impact on HIS Family and His Kingdom. Grandparents can change the spiritual trajectory of generations yet to be born.
